Anywhere really…it does not have to be Tuscany

Villa rentals are generally Saturday to Saturday rentals. Keep this in mind as you are planning.
If you would like to add on time before or after the villa in Rome, Florence or another town, I think it makes complete sense and is a great idea.

  • Villa Day 1 (Saturday) – Travel to villa for check in • Grocery stocking services available • Chef to the villa this first night (note - they often make enough for leftovers)

  • Villa Day 2 (Sunday) – Enjoy a casual morning then explore a nearby hilltop town • Lunch + wine tasting at farmhouse restaurant nearby

  • Villa Day 3 (Monday) – Full-day privately guided Montalcino wine tour of 3 family-run wineries with tastings and a full Tuscan lunch

  • Villa Day 4 (Tuesday) – Visit Siena for a half-day guided tour of the Duomo, Piazza del Campo, and local shops • Have time for lunch and free time to explore on your own. (Or a nearby town closer to you or more interesting to you. Evening Chef’s dinner at the villa by the pool.

  • Villa Day 5 (Wednesday) – AM hot air balloon ride over the countryside with an aperitivo following • Visit a biological farm for pizza making lunch • Light charcuterie and leftover chef’s dinners on the villa patio under the Tuscan stars.

  • Villa Day 6 (Thursday) – Explore nearby towns such as Montepulciano, Cortona or Assisi on your own or with a guide • Stop for a wonderful lunch • visit a winery for tasting on your way back to the villa

  • Villa Day 7 (Friday) – Truffle hunt with local farmer and his dog • Truffle and wine lunch • Relax at the villa all afternoon

  • Villa Day 8 (Saturday) – Check out and travel to Rome, Florence or other nearby major city for a final night(s) before your flight the next morning

  • Day 9 – Depart for US • Arrive home

NOTES – Tuscany is used as an example because it’s the most commonly requested. We can help you with villa rentals and weeks ALL OVER ITALY.

BUDGET – A base budget for this type of week would be approx $12,000 based on 6 adults + the cost of the villa. Villas for 6 adults range from $4,500-15,000+ for a one-week rental. I think we can find you a great one in the $6-10,000 range.
